Hi, I’m Josh.
An Australian, whose spent the last few years working directly with manufacturers across China and Japan, both on the ground and while building my own brands.
I lived in China for over five years, where I studied the language and completed a Master’s in Chinese Business. During that time, I worked closely with factories across sourcing, production, and supplier communication.
Today, I run my own skincare brand manufactured in Japan, which means production, quality control, and supplier relationships are something I deal with every day.
What that experience has taught me is that the problems hurting brands most often come down to not having someone on the ground. Before production starts, details get assumed rather than confirmed. After it finishes, issues get discovered too late to do anything about them.
China runs on relationships and presence. When someone is physically there, someone who speaks the language, understands the culture, and knows what to look for, things get handled differently.
That’s where I come in, whether that’s checking production, catching issues early, or you just want someone there to make sure everything is running smoothly.
